After our overnight trip on the shuttle bus we arrive at the Cuyabeno bridge.
10:00am The journey begins at “El Puente', the main access to the Cuyabeno Wildlife
Reserve and our last stop with the civilization. We continue in a motorized canoe
downstream. During the canoe trip you will be able to enjoy the wonderful flora and
fauna found in the jungle. With a little luck we’ll be able to observe some of the 10 species of
monkeys, birds and other jungle animals, depending on time and weather
conditions. The Cuyabeno river is extremely narrow in this region and allows you to experience wildlife up close.
12:00pm We reach the Nicky Amazon Lodge. A welcome cocktail is waiting for your arrival at the lodge. You will have time to rest.
1:00pm We go on our first exploratory activity in the surrounding area.
After dinner, we’ll explore the lodge's surroundings to look for nocturnal animals such as insects, spiders, snakes and frogs, a live which becomes active when the sun sets.
